The Board of Directors recently approved the purchase of Directors and Officers Liability Insurance for all chapters.  Coverage will be under the national CSSE plan, and will cover every member of the chapter executive.  The cost of the premiums for this coverage is being paid by the Society, so there will be no expense to the chapter for this coverage.

When a CSSE member volunteers to be on your Chapter Executive, they are assuming a level of responsibility for CSSE and are required to act with due diligence in representing the association.  Although rarely used, Directors and Officers Liability Insurance is important in that it provides peace of mind for volunteers serving on your chapter executive and protection for the insured for the dangers surrounding an allegation of a wrongful act.
